This privacy policy explains how Untangled Streaming ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information you provide when using untangledstreaming.com.

What we collect

ZIP code. When you take the quiz, you enter your ZIP code. We use this to determine your DMA (TV market) so we can show you the right local channels and providers. We don't store ZIP codes against any personal identifier — they're used in your browser only.

Quiz answers. Your bill amount and priority selections. Stored in your browser's localStorage so you can resume the quiz later. We don't transmit these to our server.

Email (optional). If you opt in to "email me this comparison" or our update list, we collect the email address you provide. We use this only for the purpose you opted in for.

Anonymous analytics. We collect aggregated, anonymized data about how visitors use the site (page views, click rates, drop-off points) using standard analytics. We don't tie this to identifiable individuals.

What we don't collect

We don't collect your name, address, phone number, payment info, or browsing history outside our site. We don't fingerprint your device. We don't run advertising trackers from third-party ad networks. We don't sell or rent any data to anyone.

Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies for: (1) saving your quiz progress, (2) anonymous analytics, (3) attributing affiliate clicks so we get paid when you sign up via our links. No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers.

Affiliate links

When you click "Get this deal," our affiliate partners (Impact, CJ Affiliate, ShareASale, Amazon Associates) may set their own cookies on the destination site to track that signup. Their privacy policies apply once you leave our site. Full disclosure.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for adults making household TV decisions. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Your rights

You can clear your browser's localStorage to delete any saved quiz progress at any time. You can unsubscribe from our email list any time using the link in our emails. To request data deletion or ask any privacy question, email privacy@untangledstreaming.com.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the "Effective" date above and post the new policy here. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
